The numinous (god, goddess, and presence of the divine) is revered, adored, and worshiped worldwide. In this 9 week course, we summon various embodiments of the numinous—through the different shades of emotions: love, anger, joy, disgust, wonder, sadness, peace, fear, & courage. We invite curiosity, respect, and honor as we move into a relationship with these emotions.
Participants will inquire about their individual mythologies and relationship to emotions. We will discover what feelings we resist and which move towards fluidly, allowing oneself to explore the circular nature of emotion through movement, writing, drawing, song, contemplation, and rest.
